Dear Academy Parents,

It was with deep regret, after twenty-one years, that the decision to close Lake City Christian Academy became official on Monday, July 7, 2008.  An affordable, Christian education, for every child has long been my heart; I grieve at our having to close.

I apologize for the unfortunate timing but it was our hope that we would be able to continue for another year.  The school’s finances have been very unstable for the past three years due to decreased enrollment.  We waited as long as possible, hoping for an increase so we could continue this year.  Time was running out. Preparation time for a new school year was at hand and we had way below the enrollment needed to go another year. 

Words cannot express the gratitude I have toward every parent and grandparent, for all their participation, love and encouragement over the years.  I have been richly blessed to have had a part in the lives of your children and I will miss each of them! 

My desire had always been, for each student that ever attended Lake City Christian Academy, to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.  It is so important, for every individual, to establish a personal relationship with Jesus; that’s the only thing that has true value and will last throughout eternity.

 I pray that you, all, will prosper in the things of God, now and always. May the Lord bless you and keep you.  May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.  Eccl. 3:1 says – There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.  We praise God for the season He gave us, with your precious children.
